Living on the Oregon Coast, I enjoy trip to the beaches, exploring the gravel for agates and peering into tidepools. This piece was created using molds taken from tiny sea life, including a sand dollar, starfish, snail and cockle. Blue resin adds depth and an azure color.
Silver Art Clay is made from silver reclaimed from photography and X-ray film, combined with an organic binder. It can be formed just like clay: rolled, stamped, coiled, joined, and is then dried. Then it is fired by kiln or flame and the organics burn out, leaving either fine or sterling silver depending upon the formula. It is versatile and fun to work! Epoxy resin fills in the "pool", adding color and depth.
18" textured cable sterling chain is included.
